In a dystopian, industrial, cyberpunk world of the not-too-distant future, gangs overrun the neon-clad side streets. The underbelly and outcasts rule the pitch-black forgotten ruins of an old district. Chaos and danger lurk in every shadow.
A ‘Showdown’ is happening downtown when a lone wanderer stumbles amongst a crew of meta-human misfits, the Barbaroi. Will the drifter have what it takes to be one of them? This is do or die, this is the initiation!
Inspired by cyberpunk, retro 80s blade runner pop culture and the gritty underbelly of society, Barbaroi is a blend of high-octane circus, cabaret, and physical theatre.
Complemented by finely tuned lighting and special effects, this show will lead audiences down the rabbit-hole asking, “Who are the Barbaroi?”.
Barbaroi is back for its final Adelaide Fringe and is full of new and exciting acts with the same cyberpunk dystopian flavour that audiences have come to expect and love.
