If you’ve always wanted to explore what South Australia has to offer while meeting new people, then ANFE Community Care’s Out & About community-access bus trips could be just what you’re looking for!

ANFE Community Care is a registered provider of aged care services operating across metropolitan Adelaide.

The Out & About service offers people aged 65 and over, group bus trips so they can participate in activities of choice or attend local community events and festivals.

Maria is a regular attendee and has fallen in love with the atmosphere of the group activities.

“The trips are fantastic! I’ve gotten to know many new people and make some new friends,” Maria said.

“I never realised there were so many places to see in South Australia,” she said.

In response to feedback from members of the community who were seeking to do more and consistently get out of the house, the organisation developed a safe, personalised, door-to-door transport service supported by dedicated and friendly staff members.

Those who attend Out & About trips form close connections to staff and clients while enjoying the best of South Australia.

South Australian landmarks, events, and community hotspots Out & About has visited this year include Haigh’s Chocolate Factory, the Adelaide Central Market, Virginia Nursery, Gorge Wildlife Park, and Carrick Hill Estate.

Out & About trips are planned a month in advance with flyers distributed to registered clients, so they know what to look forward to and the trips available.

To check out the upcoming Out & About trips, view the schedule online at anfe.org.au/outandabout.

Places on the bus fill up fast, so bookings* are a must!
