The countdown is well and truly on – with one of the biggest Australian Masters Games ever set to open in Adelaide in one month’s time.

Running from October 7-14, it’s not too late to register to take part in the Games. With more than 50 sports on offer, from pickleball to yoga sports, darts, cycling and football – the round ball game, the oval ball game, the walking version and not forgetting rugby union and league - there’s something for every sports-minded person.

With absolutely no qualifying standards, there’s a sport for everyone at the Australian Masters Games. Whether you have white line fever long after the knees have gone, or you just enjoy catching up with your old social team, you still have a few weeks to register to take part.

Let’s not hide the fact that the taking part in sporting events is just an excuse for some people as well, as we all know the social program goes above and beyond this year, providing opportunities for those who like to party to make the most of the week’s offerings.

Headlined by international DJ Hot Dub Time Machine, events include the opening and closing ceremonies, a Billy Joel tribute concert, daily Happy Hours at SkyCity Village at Festival Plaza, bands, a Foreshore Fiesta at Glenelg and nightly entertainment activities.

If sport is not your thing but you would like to join your friends or family members as a supporter to meet new people and take part in the social program, you can register for a $45 supporter accreditation pass, which is the best value money can buy. Please see australianmastersgames.com for details.

Supporter accreditation gives you entry to all social events at SkyCity Village, and Glenelg and Riverbank yoga. ‘Traditional Reimagined’ is our 2023 tagline, and this year’s Australian Masters Games sports and social festival offers so much to surprise and delight. Hurry for last minute registration and we look forward to welcoming you and your friends in October!
