This year’s Adelaide Guitar Festival celebrates icons of the instrument, ground-breaking young players, stunning artistry and the essential role of the guitar in songwriting as we explore new spaces and places.

While our familiar home at Adelaide Festival Centre undergoes renovations, we’re bringing a wonderful series of concerts to two of Adelaide’s best music venues: Her Majesty’s Theatre and Elder Hall. From the recreation of Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti to the intricate interplay by Brazil’s Duo Siqueira Lima, to the distinctive style and legendary songwriting of Troy Cassar-Daley, this year’s program will move and soothe, invigorate and inspire music lovers of all stripes.

It’s always a thrill to introduce incredible young artists to Australian audiences, and this year the extraordinary Lau Noah brings her virtuosic vocal and guitar counterpoint to Australia for the first time. She shares the bill with one of our most beloved songwriters, Lior, who also joins our 60-strong Adelaide Guitar Festival Orchestra for a breathtaking performance in Elder Hall.

We’re deeply appreciative of the long-standing support from the Office for Ageing Well and Seniors Card. Their commitment continues to encourage South Australians to stay engaged and active in our festival, whether through the beloved Winter School Program or the far-reaching Adelaide Guitar Festival On the Road. It’s partnerships like these that help us share music, creativity, and connection with communities right across the state.

In October,  thanks to the support from Create SA, Creative Australia, SA Tourism Commission and the City of Mount Gambier, we’ll have an exciting program of events on Boandik Country in Berrin/Mount Gambier, with First Nations country music gathering Blak Country and the Australian Guitar Quartet in Mount Gambier’s Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre, as well as a wonderful program of great guitar music as we head out On the Road throughout the South East.  See you there!
