Signalling the global reputation of the Adelaide Fringe, 23 per cent of next year's acts will be from overseas - a five per cent increase on the 2023 season. There is also a strong program of First Nations shows across various genres.

Adelaide Fringe director and CEO Heather Croall said the festival was “gearing up for another bumper year”.

“To say we are excited about the 2024 season is an understatement. In 2023 we sold a million tickets - a first for any arts festival in Australia. Next year’s program is looking spectacular and I hope we can reach this incredible milestone once again.”

The 2024 Adelaide Fringe ambassadors include professional basketballer and cabaret singer Isaac Humphries, singer Prinnie Stevens and celebrity chef Adam Liaw.

“I’m excited to be an official Fringe Ambassador this year, but I think I’ve been an unofficial ambassador for years already," Liaw said. "Fringe brings Adelaide alive like no other festival and I’m so excited to be a part of it this year!”

With more than 60 years of heritage, the Adelaide Fringe - which is supported by the South Australian Government - is a hub for emerging talent as well as a destination for established artists from around the world.

It is the nation's biggest arts festival, attracting visitors from all over the world. This year's festival generated $105.5 million in expenditure for the state - a 40 per cent increase on 2022.
