The Australian Association of Gerontology (AAG) National Conference will be held in Adelaide from 22-25 November for three days of challenging, stimulating and rewarding information sharing and networking.

Support packages are being offered by the SA Division of the AAG for two older people from rural and remote areas of South Australia to attend the conference, including the Welcome Reception and the Farewell Drinks. AAG will cover registration costs and also reimburse accommodation and travel costs up to $500 where required.

You are eligible to apply if you live in a rural or remote area of South Australia and are:

  • aged over 60;
  • engaged in a paid or voluntary role or community activity which would be enhanced by the opportunity to attend the conference; and
  • have no other source of support to attend (e.g. from employer or volunteer organisation).

Preference will be given to applicants who live further than 200km from Adelaide.
