Office for Ageing Well is offering grants totalling $600,000 for organisations and local governments to develop activities and programs to promote more positive attitudes towards ageing and older people.
These grants for Seniors will fund organisations to provide opportunities for older South Australians to engage with the community, reducing social isolation and contributing to wellbeing.
Grants of up to $5,000 can pay for equipment or materials that promote activity and social engagement, with grants of up to $10,000 for people to participate in cultural, social, educational, or ageing well activities.
Positive Ageing Fellowship Grants of up to $40,000 are for projects to support older South Australians to age well and be recognised for their valuable contributions across their lifetime. The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) will coach and mentor recipients of these grants to help them work towards sustaining their activities long-term.
Organisations seeking Ageing Well Community Grant funding should be working with older people, including those from diverse cultures and backgrounds, to develop and deliver their project idea.
All grant projects should reflect the strategic priorities and enabling factors of South Australia’s Plan for Ageing Well 2020-2025.
Strategic priorities:
- Home and community
- Meaningful connections
- Navigating change
Enabling factors:
