Office for Ageing Well coordinated South Australia’s first annual Week of Ageing Well, 1-7 October in line with International Day of Older Persons (1 October).
The Week kicked off with SA Seniors Card celebrating its 30th Birthday, and the annual Through the Lens photographic competition and exhibition at the City Library. Other interesting events and activities included getting out in nature, sports, celebrating action taken to address ageism, art and culture, walking challenges, improving the age friendliness of our state, and wellbeing initiatives.
The Week supported the vision of South Australia’s Plan for Ageing Well 2020-2025, that ‘South Australia is a healthy, connected, equitable and sustainable community, which takes a whole of life approach that fosters many years of living well, and supports us to die with dignity, in line with our wishes.’
Office for Ageing Well is now seeking your valuable feedback to feed into next year’s plans for Week of Ageing Well. Please complete the feedback survey here.
South Australia’s Week of Ageing Well is supported by Office for Ageing Well and Seniors Card, SA Health.
