The Tax Help program is a free, confidential service that can help you lodge your tax return online. ATO trained volunteers can help you lodge an amendment, claim a refund of franking credits, or submit a non-lodgement advice if you don’t need to lodge a return.

Eligible individuals earning $70,000 or less with simple tax affairs can book a Tax Help appointment until 31 October.

With centres located across Australia, including regional and remote communities, support is available close to home. If you’re unable to attend in person, appointments may also be available over the phone or online, providing greater flexibility to access help.

Additional support is also available to people who may need a little more assistance, with appointments available to people who are blind, or hearing impaired. For people who prefer to speak a language other than English, Tax Help information is available in 12 different languages.

Whether you receive income from a pension, part-time work or interest or dividends, the Tax Help program can help you meet your tax obligations with confidence.
