South Australians can learn more about the Australian Government’s new Support at Home End of Life Pathway at free online webinars being held by SA Health, Carers SA and Palliative Care South Australia this month.

The Support at Home Program began on 1 November 2025, replacing previous in‑home aged care programs. It aims to give older Australians clearer access to practical, clinical and everyday supports that help them live safely and independently at home.

The dedicated End of Life Pathway, for older people who have been clinically assessed as being in the final months of life, is part of it. The pathway provides targeted funding based on assessed need. Services may include:

  • personal care
  • nursing
  • allied health
  • respite care, meal preparation and transport
