Over the past year, motorists have been able to easily find the cheapest fuel, as all petrol stations in South Australia must report their prices and every price change to a central database.

Fuel price information is then made available to the public via fuel price apps and websites. This has been running as a trial, and the State Government has now announced that this scheme will continue.

So next time you need to fill up, use a fuel price app or website to find the cheapest fuel near you.

To check fuel prices:

1. See the list of fuel price apps that have signed up to the fuel price reporting trial.

2. Download one of these apps to check petrol prices near you.

If prices don't match between the bowser and a fuel price app, or petrol stations are missing from a fuel price app report this to Consumer and Business Services (CBS) or through any of the fuel price apps or websites.
