The South Australian Law Reform Institute (SALRI), based at the Adelaide University Law School, is reviewing the Ageing and Adult Safeguarding Act 1995 (SA) (AAS Act).

SALRI, an independent, non-partisan law reform body, conducts inquiries into areas of law by considering how the law works, undertaking research, and consulting widely with the community, interested parties, and experts.

Based on its research and consultation, SALRI makes recommendations to the State Government – which, with South Australia’s Parliament, decides whether to reform the law.

As part of the AAS Act Review, SALRI will hold its final regional community drop-in sessions at Port Lincoln on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 June and Mount Gambier on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 June.
