Office for Ageing Well is launching South Australia’s first annual Week of Ageing Well, 1-7 October, aligning with International Day of Older Persons (1 October).

The Week recognises, celebrates and values the diversity and contributions of older South Australians, and provides an opportunity to connect through events that support us all to live meaningful lives.

Events and activities during the Week will include SA Seniors Card’s 30th birthday celebrations, SA Seniors Card’s Through the Lens photography competition and exhibition, Nature Festival, Ageism Awareness Day, and Australian Masters Games.

South Australians will be encouraged to reflect on ‘Life not labels’ as they identify what defines them, consider how they can bust negative stereotypes about getting older, and share their unique stories and interests that inspire meaningful connections, for healthy and happy living.

Get involved by sharing information about the Week with your friends and family or host your own event or activity! Create positive change and connect with others.

Visit the Week of Ageing Well website and join the mailing list to stay up to date with the latest news, special offers and events.

South Australia’s Week of Ageing Well is supported by Office for Ageing Well and Seniors Card, SA Health.
