Did you know that the World Health Organization Network for Age Friendly Cities and Communities currently includes 1,445 cities and communities in 51 countries?

The age friendly cities concept takes account of the physical and social environment plus the diversity of residents to provide a local, inclusive response to active ageing through health and wellbeing, participation, and security.

Researchers at UniSA are working with an international project team that has designed a questionnaire to assess the age-friendliness of cities around the world.

You are invited to complete this questionnaire via an online survey and contribute your experience of living in Adelaide. This will help collect data about the age-friendliness of Adelaide, as well as to inform development of an evidence-based questionnaire for this purpose.

If you are aged 65 years and over and live in metropolitan Adelaide (including the CBD and surrounding suburbs) and would like to be involved, complete the online survey here.

The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete.

More information can be found on the first page of the survey, but it is important to note that your responses to this survey are anonymous and participation is voluntary.

Any questions about this research can be directed to the lead researcher, Dr Helen Barrie: helen.barrie@unisa.edu.au.
