With the theme of “Connecting with Community”, South Australia’s Mental Health Awareness Month will run from 1 to 31 October 2022.

Mental Health Awareness Month aims to improve community awareness and interest in mental health and wellbeing. Communities throughout metropolitan and rural South Australia will celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month.

The program of events and activities is coordinated by the Mental Health Coalition of South Australia (MHCSA). The objective is to encourage all South Australians to consider their own mental health and the mental health of everyone in their community. Most of the activities planned are free to attend and will help communities connect to spread the word that mental health is relevant to everyone.

There are many ways to reach out and to connect with your community. We each have a role to play in looking out for one another. It is important to be aware of the people around us and to know what warning signs to look out for.

Visit the SA Health Mental Health Awareness Month page for more information.
