Arthritis SA supports people living with arthritis by funding research, running services and meeting with the government on important issues.

Arthritis SA values the voices of all people living with arthritis and are calling on older South Australians who have arthritis to take part in an online survey. The survey is designed to find out about your experiences from initial diagnosis, treatment plans and living with the condition.

Arthritis SA wants to know:

  • What do you wish you had known when you first learnt you had arthritis?
  • Which services and support would have better helped you in the first six months?
  • What type of daily life activities and tasks did you find, or still find, difficult because of arthritis?

If you have had arthritis for longer than six months, Arthritis SA would still like to hear from you.

To answer the short survey, click here. or call Arthritis SA (8379 5711) to have a paper copy sent to you.

If you wish to talk about your experience in a group setting, there will be online and in-person group sessions conducted by Arthritis SA on the 6 and 8 of July. Session details are at the end of the survey. To take part, enter your contact details and Arthritis SA will be in touch.

Arthritis SA has two great programs for people living with arthritis - the ”Reboot Your Life” program and ”Hydrotherapy”.

The Reboot Your Life program is a free, online 10-week program. The program is for rural and regional South Australians over 50 years with arthritis. It aims to raise knowledge and self-care skills with weekly online exercise classes. The program is working with the University of SA and funded by the Country Primary Health Network.

The ”Hydrotherapy” program is low-impact water exercise classes held at Welland, SA. Classes are in warm water (34 degrees) to lower joint stress and be more fun. The ”Hydro Move” program is for people new to “Hydrotherapy”. It involves a program designed for you with strength, flexibility, balance, and fitness. The ”Hydro Fit” program is for people who are active.

Arthritis SA wish to increase what people know about arthritis. Your voice may help someone else’s journey.
