Three community pharmacies around Adelaide have extended their operating hours to 24 hours, seven days a week (including public holidays) so you can access medicines, advice and health care whenever you need it.
The 24-7 pharmacies are:
- National Pharmacies, Norwood
- Chemist Warehouse, Clovelly Park
- Chemist Warehouse Saints Shopping Centre, Salisbury Plain
A pharmacist is available 24-7 at all three locations to provide expert advice and professional pharmacy services, including dispensing prescription medicines.
This initiative complements a range of other community pharmacy initiatives, including the Palliative Care Medicines Pharmacy Network. Along with the network pharmacies, the 24-7 pharmacies will maintain a minimum stock of core palliative care medicines and provide support for people with life-limiting illnesses to allow them to receive their treatment at home.
Providing after-hours pharmacy services will provide peace of mind for families and people needing urgent access to medicines and help reduce pressure on hospital emergency departments.
