Remember when you were young and bought those Airfix model kits with your hard earned pocket money? You then spent hours painting and gluing them together and then marvelled at what you had created.

Relive those days and memories with a visit to the South Australian Scale Model Expo where you can see over 600 models on display built by some of the finest modellers in SA and interstate, many competing to be the best in their category.

Marvel at the detail in the models on display which include aircraft, ships, armoured vehicles and equipment, racing cars, hot rods, science fiction models, dioramas plus beautifully painted historical and fantasy figures.

This year they will have a special display covering “As seen on Screen”, “Australiana” and Endurance race cars.

There is also the opportunity to attend demonstrations and learn about the art of model building, and traders will be on site to satisfy the urge of those who are keen to give the hobby a go again.
