For more than 10 years, ANFE Community Care’s Active Ageing Program has provided exercise sessions for people aged 65 and older in the western suburbs of Adelaide.

A qualified exercise instructor provides classes with a focus on preventing falls and maintaining independence through a range of strengthening, mobility and balance exercises in a fun and supportive social setting.
Exercise sessions provide clear physical benefits to older members of the community as they undertake regular aerobic activities whilst also providing opportunities for regular socialisation, as attendees can meet new people and forge connections with other community members.
Attendees say that the social aspect of the group provides them with the greatest benefit with many new friendships forming due to ANFE Community Care’s exercise classes.
To access Active Ageing Exercise classes, prospective clients must be registered through the My Aged Care System.
If you need assistance with this process, ANFE Community Care can help.
