Revered vocal group The 60 Four are once again touring a slice of the 1960s to locations across South Australia, as they take their critically acclaimed Las Vegas-style show on the road.

In February and March 2023, The 60 Four will perform in Kangaroo Island, Victor Harbor, Port Pirie, Whyalla, Renmark, Elizabeth, and Noarlunga, as well as a season in Adelaide at the Norwood Concert Hall.

The tour comes after a blockbuster 2022 season, which saw the hit quartet raise the roof at the iconic Thebarton Theatre, stop crowds at the Royal Adelaide Show, tour to ten locations all around South Australia, and perform a number of high-profile corporate gigs, including one in Melbourne for a former Australian Prime Minister.

The 60 Four is proudly South Australian, starting in a music classroom when the boys were in high school in 2015. Since then, their contemporary sound and stunning showmanship have cemented their position as “Australia’s best tribute act” (Theatre Travels), as they pay homage to ‘60s megastars including The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Four Seasons, Elvis Presley, and Johnny O’Keefe.

“We started singing together during lunchtime in high school”, says Director Ben Francis. “We fell in love with the intricate harmonies that were so prevalent in that era and just kept singing.”

“The music of the 60s and 70s is timeless. It’s unrivalled. And it’s universal. You leave the theatre happy no matter who you are. Everyone leaves the theatre smiling. And it’s that joy that fuels our energy, and our ambition.”

Having wowed audiences in South Australia for seven years, the group is also preparing to tour to Perth’s FRINGE WORLD this January as the first stop on a national schedule.

However, Francis remains committed to locational accessibility, by bringing entertainment to regional areas and to people who might otherwise not be able to attend high-quality shows.

“Touring to the regions is so important to us. Some of our most treasured moments have been in regional South Australia. The atmosphere, especially post-Covid, is palpable.”

The regional tour of The 60 Four: In Concert is supported by the Adelaide Fringe Foundation and will take place in the 2023 Adelaide Fringe, a festival in which the group has received a ‘Best Music Award’ for two consecutive years.
