After the resounding success of the 2023 Adelaide Festival opening, Citizens’ Orchestra returns.
Citizens’ Orchestra is a musical celebration born out of the Floods of Fire project and represents the South Australian community and our stories. Citizens’ Orchestra is free for all participants!
All citizens are invited to join this intercultural, intergenerational orchestra and chorus. It’s a platform that welcomes professional musicians, beginners, and everyone in between.
The Citizens’ Orchestra is for everyone. Whether you’ve never touched an instrument, are a seasoned musician, or fall somewhere in between, this project welcomes you. Young or old, it’s for people with a story to tell, and people who love to listen.
Through engaging workshops, participants will collaborate with Music Directors Tim Steiner and Ricardo Baptista, alongside Adelaide Symphony Orchestra musicians to co-create music based on your stories.
