Welcome to the History Trust of South Australia’s Museums
We have fantastic teams at each of the museums who love nothing more than helping visitors wander and explore the wonder of our history.
Before joining the team at the History Trust, I was already an avid History Festival participant. Being able to now experience the History Festival from the inside makes me marvel even more, not only at the wonders of the History Trust’s museums, but the hundreds of others throughout the state.
During May, our museums have some wonderful experiences on offer. There are tours of our motoring history, a maritime shipwreck talk, you can experience Arabic hospitality practices up close, and there’s a timely insight into the ‘67 Referendum as Australians now approach the Voice to Parliament.
My main mission must be to encourage you to visit our fabulous Migration Museum, National Motor Museum, South Australian Maritime Museum and the Centre of Democracy. There are so many options during the History Festival, and I am delighted that these museums are open 364 days of the year.
