In its third year, South Australia’s premier winter event Illuminate Adelaide returns for 2023, lighting up the month of July in more ways than one.

With a program of free and ticketed events held across Adelaide’s CBD, Illuminate Adelaide brings the best and brightest in art, light, music, and technology to Adelaide’s doorstep.

It might be cold outside, but that’s no excuse to hibernate!

From 28 June to 30 July 2023, Illuminate Adelaide is bringing an array of breath-taking, immersive experiences from around the world to the centre of Adelaide, turning well-known icons and hidden gems around town into a digital playground.

Art, light, music, and technology converge in events like Resonate, Mirror Mirror, Architects of Air, our free City Lights trail, KLASSIK underground, Shifting Perspectives and more, all encourage you to think, feel, wonder, and imagine.

In this special edition of WeekendPlus, you will read more about our program of World Premieres, immersive events never-before-seen in Adelaide, and free experiences for everyone to enjoy.

We believe art isn’t just meant for galleries – it should be accessible, splashed across familiar streets and open for all to enjoy.
