If you’re looking for something for the whole family to enjoy during October, look no further than OzAsia Festival! With both free and ticketed shows on offer, everyone from the young ones experiencing the theatre for the first time to the hard-to-please teens can take in the magic of OzAsia.
International hit SNAP from South Korea’s GRUEJARM Productions is the perfect all-rounder – a magical experience for younger children with humour and theatrics to keep adults entertained. After the show, why not make the journey down from Her Majesty’s Theatre to Adelaide Riverbank, and enjoy a free self-guided tour through Moon Lantern Trail or dinner at Lucky Dumpling Market?
Moon Lantern Trail is back for its second year, celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival traditions from around Asia with an interactive experience in Tarntanya Wama/Pinky Flat. Explore over a dozen large lanterns and installations, enjoy roving performance, and take part in workshops. Then, head over to Lucky Dumpling Market for one of the Lucky Beats performances and bite to eat!
Older children will enjoy Action Star, an autobiographical theatre performance from Maria Tran, renowned action film star. Maria uses electrifying stunts to tell the story of moving her career from Asia to Australia, and the challenges here she finds harder to battle through…
