OzAsia Festival’s writing and ideas program In Other Words returns for its second year, filling Adelaide Festival Centre with journalists, writers, poets, playwrights, and creatives from around Asia and Australia.
Curated by Jennifer Wong, with the help of Guest Curators Beverley Wang and Mark Fennell, from 4 – 6 November In Other Words brings together over 60 speakers from diverse backgrounds to fill three stages with discussions around power, identity, community, race, and more.
Jennifer Wong said: “In Other Words is for anyone who’s curious about the world we live in and how we live in it together. There’s no reading you need to do in order to prepare for this festival - think of it as a weekend to discover some of the writers you’ll be enjoying over the summer. It’s a chance to be part of fascinating conversations amongst Asian Australian writers and speakers, and a handful of international authors who’ll be joining us from overseas in person and via Zoom.
Fan favourites Lunch on the Riverbank, the Opening Night Gala and the Closing Night Debate return, with a brand-new event Business Breakfast the perfect opportunity to hear from two Asian Australian leaders in industry, all over a cuppa.”
With over 30 sessions to choose from, take a look at the full program of events and start planning your weekend!
